As Design Director at X5 Music Group, Fredrik Mårdh co-developed the concepts and titles behind these international bestselling albums. He created every cover shown here—from photography and image compositing to typography.
From the album idea to the final artwork.
Fredrik worked with a small team to develop the album themes and titles. His involvement ran through every stage, connecting the concept with how the music would be presented.
He created all four covers shown here, handling all photography, image compositing and typography. The work combined his role as Design Director with hands-on production of the finished artwork.
Different music. Different visual worlds.
A raven against a moonlit sky gives The 50 Darkest Pieces of Classical Music its atmosphere. The Greatest Video Game Music places an orchestral instrument inside an action scene. Each cover translates the album’s theme into an image, with typography that makes the title part of the composition.
